Job offer accepted - Thank you, Dan! Despite a tough job market, much of my success in landing interviews and securing a job is owed to Dan and his mentorship. Over 9 months, he's guided my transition from QA at Apple to modern frontend/fullstack development. Dan is more than a mentor; he's genuine and passionate about his field. He truly cares about his mentees' success, offering patient guidance, invaluable advice, and generously sharing his time. His no-nonsense, results-driven approach cuts through the noise. Dan didn't just teach me; he challenged me, pushing me out of my comfort zone and helping me improve in areas that were lacking. Through regular chats, paired programming sessions, and code reviews, we tackled a range of projects, from mock interviews to fully-fledged production applications. But perhaps most importantly; Dan's support and encouragement have been a constant motivation. In moments of self-doubt, he was there to boost my confidence and overcome imposter syndrome. There were times when I almost gave up or lost focus, and had it not been for Dan, I very well might have. Dan has truly changed my life, and I feel incredibly lucky to have him as my mentor. While I've learned a lot from him already, I know there's more to gain, and I look forward to continuing our mentorship into the future. If you are reading this and still on the fence, this review doesn't cover a fraction of what Dan has to offer. I highly recommend him.

Dan helped me to craft a plan along with projects that would help me to understand Front End Development further than I ever had before. One of Dan's greatest strengths is to help you stay focused on what matters. In becoming a self-taught developer there are so many tangents and side paths that could lead you on a longer path than needed. With Dan's help, I was able to craft a solid portfolio of projects based around React, and JavaScript. His expertise in recruiting has provided insights into how to navigate and approach getting a job. Although I have not secured a job yet, I am early in the process of applying and still reach out to Dan for guidance.

Dan has been a game-changer in my development journey. His mentorship not only boosted my confidence but also played a key role in landing me a new frontend role. Dan's teaching approach is both effective and engaging. The weekly tasks he assigned allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting. Our review sessions were enlightening, providing a deep understanding of the code and the rationale behind certain methodologies. This hands-on approach not only improved my technical skills but also enriched my problem-solving abilities. His support was crucial during challenging moments. For instance, dealing with interview rejections can be demoralising, but Dan's guidance shifted my perspective. He stressed that rejections are a normal part of the professional journey and not a measure of personal skills. This mindset adjustment proved crucial as I navigated the job search with renewed resilience. If you're a developer looking for a mentor who goes the extra mile, I highly recommend Dan. His dedication and practical approach create an ideal learning environment. Grateful for his impact on my journey, I'm confident others will benefit just as much from his mentorship.
