Andrew Aquino

Andrew is goal-oriented and methodical in his mentorship process. He helped me be more specific with my career goals, and was open to changing our action items and goals based on my changing situation. I had an unexpected interview scheduled, and we paused portfolio work and switched to interviewing skills for a few meetings. He was also flexible with changes in meeting schedules, which was very important to me. He is at a rare level when it comes to UI design. There’s so much to learn from him - his design workflow, the way he breaks down complex tasks to simple steps, and the speed at which he does it all. If you can, work along with him on a UI design and you’ll be amazed at the skill it takes to arrive at a well-thought out UI design. He focuses on what can be done (portfolio, improving skills by practice etc) instead of things that cannot be changed (eg: past experiences). I look forward to more sessions with Andrew!
