As a passionate mentor, I've worked with aspiring UX designers through tailored learning plans and real-world projects, fostering a process driven approach including research, data analytics, collaboration, design thinking, and incorporating best practice when required. I have employed many UX designers over the years, and always enjoy working with designers at any level to solve design challenges.
With over 23 years of experience in user-centered design and a Master of Information Architecture, I offer a wealth of expertise in guiding teams to deliver exceptional design solutions. From startups to corporate B2B environments, I've led projects through every stage of the UX design process, emphasizing stakeholder collaboration and team leadership.
I believe that to be a successful UX designer, it's crucial to have experience and understanding of the many UX processes available, and use your learnings to determine which of these processes make sense for the project your are engaged with. I also believe that as UX designers, we are all storytellers, and this skill is essential in our varied communications with stakeholders, team members, and users.
I have worked as a mentor at Springboard since 2020 (although I don’t list this on my LinkedIn profile), and I have been teaching an Introduction to UX day course through Sydney University for over four years.
