I have been an engineering manager for 10 years, including six years at Amazon. I’ve led multiple teams, including those who owned Tier 1 services, and for the past two years I’ve been part of Amazon’s Agentic AI organization.

Over the years at Amazon, I’ve worked across a wide range of teams and with many different types of stakeholders—product, science, senior leadership, and partner organizations with competing priorities. I know this can be hard. As you move up, success isn’t just about technical capability; it increasingly depends on soft skills, influence, and stakeholder management.

I’ve spent a significant part of my career developing engineers—helping people grow, navigate inflection points, and earn promotions. I’ve supported engineers at different stages and helped build long-term careers, not just short-term wins.
