About
I'm a seasoned Software Engineer turned Engineering Manager.
With over 16 years of experience in the technology industry, I have honed my skills as a Front End Engineer working in Italy, Germany, and the UK. I started with Flash, back in the days, and then moved to the Javascript/React stack.
In the UK I worked at Gamesys and Virgin Red as Senior Engineer and now I'm at The Times, where I am responsible for overseeing and managing four web teams (20+ people, 8 directs reports), also acting as Hiring Manager for all Engineering related hires.
I have a lot of experience mentoring university students, career changers, apprentices and also helping underperformers or people who are struggling in general.
Unfortunately the tech market is brutal at the moment, so it's more important than ever to get an edge and stand out.
In my free time I'm heavily involved in the tech community, I'm one of the Lead Organisers of GDG Cloud London and the founder of a mentorship program for university students called GDG Academy (backed-up by Google). The program is currently ongoing in partnership with Imperial College London.
