Some big interviews coming up? In this 1-hour session, a mentor with hiring experience will act as a technical interviewer and ask you some standard hiring questions that you might hear in one of your future interview too, and will evaluate your replies.
As a result of this, you should receive actionable feedback on what to improve about your knowledge, interview presence and other things that may be relevant to a future hiring decision.
I've conducted hundreds of interviews as an admissions interviewer for graduate school, as a graduate mock interviewer of students, as a hiring manager in my career, and as an executive coach. I've had some truly stellar interviewees during that time as well as some that were abominable. My goal is to ensure that you are on the stellar side of that continuum.
During this session, you will send me a sample job description (from a job you are targeting or similar) and your resume ahead of time. During our call, I will conduct the interview as if I was actually the hiring manager (i.e. you will be expected to call in at the appropriate time and play the role as if this was a real interview, not a mentoring session). Then, after we wrap up, I will provide candid feedback on things that worked and things that can be improved.
