About this Session

Looking to learn a new skill? The vast amount of resources on any topic on the internet can feel overwhelming at times. A mentor can give you an overview of worthwhile content, and work with you to create a study plan.

For this session, it is a good idea to know what you're looking to study, how deep you want to go, and when you want to reach that goal. Based on that, a mentor will come up with a detailed study plan.

We will exchange a few messages before our Zoom call so the meeting is productive. I want this to be engineer-driven. Depending on your goals and level of motivation, we can set up a study plan to either get you your first job, or set yourself up for promotion.

Torrey is super friendly, and quickly made me feel welcomed and comfortable. I was preparing for a coding lecturing interview, and he gave me both specific feedback on points I should improve, but also general feedback on how to structure my interview. He was a great supporter, complimenting my work multiple times while still keeping a good balance suggesting where I could improve. This really helped me be more confident for my interview. Overall this was a great call, and I recommend Torrey as a mentor!
