Most recently, I was an Engineering Manager at Duolingo, leading a large team focused on making character experiences expressive with richer animations, text-to-speech, and localized content. Prior to my role at Duolingo, I've been hands-on frontend engineer at companies like Meta, developed my own applications with over 100K downloads, taught dozens of university students about software and circuitry, and made large-scale public art installations.
Outside of my work with technology, I volunteered as an Emergency Medical Technician in New York's 911 system. I take my insights about working in high-intensity 911 calls and apply them to my work leading engineering teams and products.
