About
Hey, I’m Gourika. I’ve spent the last 6+ years as a software engineer at Meta, and my journey has had a bit of everything — big wins, messy challenges, “growth hacking” phases, and moments where I realised work had quietly taken over my life and I needed to reset. Because of that, I don’t see work and life as two separate tracks. The mindset you bring to your career is usually the mindset you bring to everything else.
Along the way, I’ve done a lot of mentoring inside Meta — helping people grow into senior roles, navigate conflicts, handle “not meeting expectations” conversations, and find their footing again during difficult periods. I care as much about how you feel during your journey as where you end up.
As a mentor, I’m less about giving you a checklist and more about helping you think clearly. My strengths are around leadership, career growth, communication, project and stakeholder management, productivity, prioritisation and building something that actually looks like work–life balance, not just talks about it.
I like to get to the root: what you actually want, what “good” looks like for you, and what’s getting in the way. From there, we’ll figure out goals, options, and a path that feels honest and sustainable, whether that’s a promotion, a role change, better boundaries, or simply feeling less stuck. My aim is that you leave our conversations with more clarity, practical next steps, and a mindset that supports both your career and your life.
