Hello!
I am a technical leader with 3 years managing teams and 15 years experience developing software. As a manager, I strive to create a positive, supportive, and productive environment for my teams. I am committed to education and mentorship, and I take pride in helping others reach their full potential. I'm particularly interested in helping others leverage their strengths to find fulling work that aligns with their intrinsic values.
My past work has focused on backend APIs and services, building tools for both internal and external customers, data pipelines, and working within small/collaborative teams. I have worked with technologies such as ETL/data pipelines, Java and Go microservices, Ruby on Rails, AWS services, Snowflake data warehouses, legacy Redshift databases, Python, C, C++/QML, mobile applications, and various kinds of virtualization. I've also been an open source package maintainer.
In my free time, I enjoy exploring the outdoors and volunteering my time teaching others how to rock climb and canyoneer. I believe real growth comes from challenging ourselves to do the things we find difficult. There is absolutely a way to do this slowly and with compassion for ourselves. This is where the magic happens.
