About

If you're a PM or engineer trying to move into AI product work or you're already there and shipping into a large organization that wasn't built for it, I can help. I led AI at EdPlus at Arizona State University, where I've built and shipped conversational AI tools and agent-based systems used at university scale.

Most AI mentors can explain the models. Fewer have shipped one past legal, procurement, a skeptical VP, and a real support burden. That's the gap I work in: taking an LLM demo that impresses people in a meeting and turning it into something that survives contact with users, budgets, and institutional constraints. I've spent 13+ years in product and 4+ years in AI specifically, and I've hired and interviewed for these roles.

In our mentorship, we'll start by getting specific about where you actually are, a portfolio and resume that don't yet say "AI product person," a first agentic project you're stuck architecting, or a promotion case you need to make. From there we'll work on a concrete artifact each month rather than talking in the abstract: a shipped prototype, a rewritten positioning story, a mock interview loop, or a roadmap you can defend.

I'll be direct with you about what's working and what isn't. Expect messages answered within a day and a call structure we set together in week one.

What happens when you start

You tell Mary your goals. They see exactly what you want to work on before session one.

You meet within days. Mary reviews your application and books your first session, usually within a day or two.

You leave with a plan. Concrete next steps and a weekly rhythm from your very first week.
