I'm a data and analytics leader who builds the foundations that let companies trust their data — and I help data professionals make the leap from doing the work to leading it.
I'm currently a Senior Manager of Data Management & Governance at Justworks, where I lead company-wide data strategy. Over the past decade I've moved from research scientist to senior data scientist to leading teams across data science, analytics engineering, and governance — at companies like Greenhouse and Justworks, in fintech and HR tech where accuracy isn't optional. Along the way I overhauled an enterprise data warehouse (cutting query runtimes by 80%), rolled out company-wide data catalogs and self-service strategies, cut data quality issues by more than half, and led AI-accelerated migrations of tens of thousands of legacy queries. I scaled my team from 3 to 11. I'm also the author of Effective Data Analysis (Manning, 2025), a regular speaker at ODSC, and I've taught data science at Flatiron School and Emeritus.
What I care about most as a mentor is the part nobody hands you a manual for: the transition from strong individual contributor to trusted leader. I've made every awkward version of that jump myself, and I know how lonely it can feel — especially if you don't see many people who look like you in the rooms you're trying to enter. I mentor with that in mind.
