I am a Front End Software Engineer with over 9 years of experience at various tech companies, currently based in Toronto, Canada.
I am currently working at Square and was previously at Coinbase, Taplytics. I also mentor at Lighthouse Labs: Canada's Leading Coding Bootcamp on the side.
I have professional, hands-on experience mentoring multiple software engineers from interns/co-ops, junior to senior level. Including building a mentorship program.
I went to school at Humber College for Computer Programming. I would say I am mostly self-taught in front end technologies learning new skills on the job and in my spare time. I started my career at an advertising agency, and from there I worked at a consultancy, and then multiple startup product companies before transitioning into larger tech companies.
In my free time, I like playing video games, working out, reading, climbing, golfing, and jamming on my guitar.

Phong has been amazing so far!!! I graduated with my CS degree in the fall but have been having trouble getting interviews. The first thing Phong really helped me with was improving my resume. Then he gave me practical advice on how to setup a nice portfolio site quickly, and now we are working on a bigger project to help improve my porfolio. He has provided useful feedback at every step along the way, and is very responsive over chat when I have questions! Still job hunting after a few weeks (Feb 2023), but I actually got an interview this month, and just heard back from a second company about a potential interview. Pretty great results considering the current job market! Would definitley reccomend Phong 100%!!
