With nearly 10 years of professional software experience across the public and private sectors, I have seen a wide range of systems and cultures. I've seen many teams that excelled and a few that struggled. At the end of the day, the personal relationships I developed with other engineers have been the most rewarding part of my career. I hope we can develop a similar rapport if I have the privilege of working with you.

I come to MentorCruise as an experienced online tutor, where I have helped dozens of students and professionals succeed on their engineering projects. I bring perspective from my years as both a senior engineer and an engineering manager. This has given me insight into how to build and launch new full-stack systems as well as how to prioritize work, communicate with stakeholders, and maintain a positive morale in an organization.

I'm also excited to introduce a new guided Rust HTTP server project, which provides a deep dive into how an advanced library, similar to Axum, works under the hood. Over the course of five sessions, you'll gain hands-on experience in building a performant HTTP server from scratch, learning key concepts in Rust and network programming along the way.

My technical interests lie in the interface between high-level and low-level code: think compilers, programming language design, and computer architecture.
