Luis Andrade

My experience with Luis so far has been incredible and has given me a great boost in my Data Science journey. Not only is he highly skilled and passionate in the field, but he is very open to stay longer than the planned hours to help me with my questions. In my opinion, this shows that he genuinely cares about the mentees. During the meetings I receive high quality feedback on my work and suggestions on how I can improve for the next meeting. Furthermore, besides giving me all the answers, Luis also encourages me to do some of the research myself by providing leads (links) to relevant sources and to test different ideas. This method works very well as it stimulates a more critical-thinking attitude when learning and applying new concepts. Essentially, I'm asking and noting down many more questions than I used to during my BSc. Even though Data Science is the main reason for finding a Mentor, Luis shares a lot of his experiences outside this specfic skill as well. For example, how to communicate your data insights to others who are not in the field. But also insights and recommendations on how to conduct business as a freelancer. I'm sure that a student like me finds this knowledge equally valuable since it helps a lot for self-development. In short, I'm very grateful, and quite lucky actually since I applied just in time, to have Luis as my mentor.

Luis is a really good mentor, He helped me a lot to be prepare for interviews and shared with me many ideas and tools I didnt know about. Luis is always available to help and talk and will help you reach and exceed your goals. I happy to had such a amazing mentor in my journey. Thank you so much for all you help!!!
