About
I got my PhD in ML/AI from University of British Columbia, Canada. My 12 years of ML/AI research experience spans across LLMs, CV, RL, and other generative models. I'm also a hardcore software engineer. The combination of the two skillsets (Research + Engineering) has paid dividends for me throughout my career across industries. Today I'm a very hands-on Principal Applied Scientist in Microsoft.
I have an entrepreneurial spirit and co-founded a startup in 2019 where I continune to lead the team as the CTO.
My career progress has been a fast roller coaster and I enjoy helping others in their career path on both technical and career growth fronts.
