Amrit Sarkar is working in the tech space for the last 7+ years in developer and managerial roles, currently as Engineer at Apple.
Amrit has contributed more than 50+ patches in ASF projects. He has trained more than 500 peers in Search space in Lucene, Solr, Docker and Kubernetes in India, Germany and the USA, and attended 15+ conferences as a speaker.
Amrit started his career in 2015 at an eCommerce - Snapdeal, moved onto a US-based enterprise named Lucidworks as a Support Engineer, Consultant and Senior Developer over the course of 4 years. Further, as an Engineering Manager at an eCommerce company - Tata Cliq, managed more than 15 engineers from various verticals - developers, QAs, UX designers. Amrit is currently working as Senior Engineer at Apple India in one of the customer-facing services, trying to transition legacy systems to modern microservices.
