Hands-on support
Hi! I’m Billy and i’ve been in the digital product space for almost a decade.
I'm a designer that ships real, working applications. Today I sit comfortably at the intersection of design and code, using tools like Figma, VS Code, GitHub, React, and AI tools like Claude, Copilot and Codex to take products from concept to production.
My mentoring would be best suited to designers who feel the pull towards building, you're comfortable in Figma but curious about what's on the other side of the handoff. Maybe you've opened a GitHub repo and felt lost, or you've played with AI coding tools but don't know how to make them part of a real workflow. That's exactly where I come in.
I can help with:
- Getting confident with GitHub, VS Code, and working in a codebase as a designer
- Using AI tools (Claude, Copilot, Codex) to actually ship things - not just prototype them
- Understand React and component-based thinking from a designer's perspective
- Integrate AI into your day-to-day product design workflow in ways that save you real time
If you're a designer who wants to stop handing things off and start building them, book a session. Come with a project in mind if you have one, or just come curious. Either way, we'll figure out the best next step for you.
5 out of 5 stars
Billy's expertise in design systems is top-notch. He has a deep understanding of the topic and knows how to explain, in a simple way, topics that where for me very complex in beginning. He's is also on top of new Figma features like variables and Dev mode. Thanks to his mentorship, my design workflow has become much more efficient, I am aware of how to build and maintain design systems. He is patient and empathic, understands my learning style and tailors his guidance to my needs. I wholeheartedly recommend Billy as a mentor to anybody interested in expanding their knowledge of product design, design systems and working in Figma in general!
