About

Most engineers don’t get stuck because they lack talent. They get stuck because no one teaches them how to grow beyond writing good code.

I help senior engineers and new engineering managers make the jump from “strong individual contributor” to trusted technical leader who ships reliably, influences decisions, and grows teams without burning out.

If you’re trying to:
- move into engineering management or tech leadership,
- operate effectively inside large organizations,
- improve delivery reliability without crushing your team,
- navigate promotions, performance reviews, and stakeholder politics,
- or regain confidence after a career stall or rejection,
my mentoring is designed to give you clarity, structure, and practical next steps.

Over the past decade, I’ve worked inside large, complex engineering organizations including Microsoft, Broadcom, Barclays, and NCR. I’ve seen how decisions are really made, how systems fail in production, and how careers actually progress, not how blog posts say they should. I use that experience to help you avoid common traps and focus on what truly matters at your level.

My approach is concrete and hands-on. Together, we work through your real situations: an upcoming promotion case, a struggling team, a design you need to defend, or a conflict with another org. I help you break problems down, choose the right trade-offs, and communicate your decisions in a way that builds trust with both engineers and leadership. You won’t get generic advice; you’ll get frameworks, examples, and feedback tailored to your context.

The outcome I focus on most is helping you become reliable. Reliable engineers and managers are the ones organizations depend on when things matter. That means systems that don’t break, teams that don’t burn out, and leaders who stay calm under pressure. Once you achieve that reputation, opportunities follow naturally.

Technically, I bring a strong background in C++, C#, Python, DevOps, release management, and system reliability, with hands-on experience in automation and AI-assisted development. But mentoring with me is less about tools and more about judgment: knowing when to act, when to wait, and how to explain your reasoning so others follow.

I work well with mentees from different cultures and backgrounds, especially those navigating international careers or large multinational companies. Sessions are direct, honest, and practical. If something won’t work, I’ll tell you. If you’re underselling yourself, I’ll tell you that too.

Outside of mentoring, I’m curious by nature and enjoy history, geography, space, philosophy, gaming, and travel. That curiosity shapes how I think about systems, people, and long-term growth.

If you want mentorship that’s grounded in real experience and focused on results you can feel in your day-to-day work, I’d be glad to work with you.
