👋 Hi, I'm Chris, a software engineer based in London working primarily with web technologies.
As an experienced professional with a computer science background, I can help you learn or improve in many areas of software development and am happy to tailor sessions to your needs. In terms of topics we can dive really deep into, my professional toolset nowadays is primarily:

I have around 10 years of professional experience but my interest in programming goes back 17 years when I first started learning Lua scripting as a hobby with a mentor of my own. I strongly believe that anyone can learn to code if they set their mind to it with access to the right support for the questions we all have when learning something new.
In the past, I've also done some open-source work and notably managed to contribute a bug fix to CPython in one of the language codec modules. This is something I'd love to do more of or guide others in doing.

He is really a great mentor for helping me with my web project. His approach is very efficient because he breaks big tasks down into smaller, manageable ones and gives me clear guidance on how to handle each task, so I don’t feel too much pressure. He also explains concepts in a very clear way. Even in the era of AI-assisted web development, I still believe it is important to master some basic coding skills through learning by doing. Whenever there are concepts I don’t understand, he can explain them extremely clearly. For example, he helped me understand the difference between SSR and CSR in a very intuitive way. Besides that, he likes to teach from simple concepts to more advanced ones, so the learning curve never feels too steep. You can gradually build confidence and gain a sense of achievement step by step every day.
