About

I help junior and mid-level developers grow in backend engineering or data science. If AI is making you unsure what to learn or where your career is heading, we can talk through your options. You may be starting out, changing roles, or deciding how to grow in the field you're already in.

I'm a Senior Software Engineer at AgileEngine. I've worked there in both software engineering and data scientist roles, and now lead backend initiatives from technical design through delivery. My work includes architecture decisions, system integrations, and coordinating work across engineering teams.

My data science experience includes statistical analysis, data modeling, visualization, machine learning, and working with large datasets using Spark, Scala, and SQL. On the backend side, I work with APIs, databases, Java, Spring, and data-processing systems. I also co-founded Naratta, an AI product that provided real-time sales guidance, and have worked on AI integrations and LLM projects.

We can work through a backend design, debug a difficult problem, review a data analysis or machine-learning project, or plan a move into either field. If you're unsure where to go next, we'll look at the roles you're considering, the skills you need to build, and projects that give you useful practice. We can also work on taking more responsibility in your current role. AI tools can be part of that conversation, alongside the technical skills and career decisions you're working on.

I hold bachelor's and master's degrees in Software Engineering and am an IEEE Senior Member. I've also been invited to give a guest lecture at UC Berkeley and review technical manuscripts and proposals for Manning Publications.

We'll pick a goal, work through your questions, and agree on something you can try before our next call. The monthly plan includes four 30-minute calls and chat between sessions. I reply within 48 hours on workdays.

Send me a message about your current experience and what you'd like help with. We'll see whether we're a good fit. Please share only code or examples you have permission to use.

What happens when you start

You tell Danny your goals. They see exactly what you want to work on before session one.

You meet within days. Danny reviews your application and books your first session, usually within a day or two.

You leave with a plan. Concrete next steps and a weekly rhythm from your very first week.
