About

I help junior and mid-level developers grow in backend engineering or data science in the age of AI. If you're unsure what to learn or where your career is heading, we'll work through your options.

Bring a project, a technical problem, or a career question. In our first call, we'll choose one problem or goal, talk through the options, and agree on what to try next. If we continue, we'll review your progress and work through what's still getting in the way.

I'm a Senior Software Engineer at AgileEngine, where I've held both software engineering and data scientist roles. I now lead backend initiatives from technical design through delivery, including architecture decisions, integrations, and work across engineering teams.

On the backend side, we can review APIs, databases, Java or Spring code, and system design. For data science, we can work through statistical analysis, data modeling, visualization, or machine-learning projects. My experience includes Spark, Scala, SQL, and working with large datasets. I've also written about using Scala and Spark for machine learning. Read the article here: https://www.ijsred.com/volume8/issue1/IJSRED-V8I1P112.pdf

Career questions are welcome even if you don't have a project yet. We can look at the roles you're considering, choose skills worth working on, and find a project that gives you useful practice. We can also work on taking more responsibility in your current role or using AI tools with a clear understanding of their output.

I co-founded Naratta, an AI product that provided real-time sales guidance. I hold bachelor's and master's degrees in Software Engineering and am an IEEE Senior Member. I've also been invited to give a guest lecture at UC Berkeley and review technical manuscripts and proposals for Manning Publications.

The monthly plan includes four 30-minute calls and chat between sessions. I reply within 48 hours on workdays. If you need help with one question, you can book a one-off session.

Send me a few lines about your experience and what you'd like help with. Please share only code or examples you have permission to use.

What happens when you start

You tell Danny your goals. They see exactly what you want to work on before session one.

You meet within days. Danny reviews your application and books your first session, usually within a day or two.

You leave with a plan. Concrete next steps and a weekly rhythm from your very first week.
