You are a good fit for my mentoring if you are in a leadership seat or on your way there and you feel the gap between where you are and where you know you could be. Maybe you are leading projects without the title, managing people for the first time, or trying to influence senior leaders who seem too busy to listen. You are ambitious, a bit tired, sometimes second guessing yourself, and still want more impact, more clarity, and a career that actually makes sense for your life.
With me, we focus on real situations, not abstract theory. We take the messy parts of your current work and use them as the lab. That might look like preparing for a high stakes conversation with your manager, handling a difficult stakeholder who keeps blocking progress, or figuring out how to push back without burning bridges. We can also work on longer term questions like “What is my next role,” “How do I move from IC to manager or manager to director,” or “How do I lead in a way that matches my values and not just the loudest voices around me.”
During our sessions, you can expect a mix of coaching and practical mentoring. I will ask questions to help you see patterns in how you think, lead, and respond under pressure. Then we translate that into concrete moves. We might write out what you will say in your next one on one, map the people you need to influence on a big decision, or build a 90 day plan for your current role. You will leave calls with simple next steps, not vague encouragement. You can bring Slack screenshots, emails, slide decks, promotion packets, or performance reviews and we will work through them together.
I am David, an executive coach and former tech leader with more than twenty years in the industry, most recently as a Senior Director at Salesforce leading large solution engineering teams. I grew my career from individual contributor to leading managers and directors, so I have lived the jump from “great doer” to “responsible for others.” I have made hiring and promotion decisions, handled underperformance, led through restructures, and supported teams through very strong years and very rough ones. I know what it feels like to carry pressure from above and below, to question yourself, and still want to grow.
People who work with me often say they appreciate that I am straightforward and calm. I will not sugar coat things, but I will not judge you either. You get honest feedback, practical ideas, and stories from real experience, not generic scripts. I care about both your ambition and your wellbeing. I want you to build a career that does not just look good on LinkedIn but also feels sustainable when you wake up on Monday.
If we work together, my goal is simple. Each conversation should give you more clarity about what you want, more skill to handle the situations in front of you, and more courage to act in a way that matches the kind of leader you want to be.
I help corporate leaders and entrepreneurs build a strong mindset to succeed. I’m a leader at a Fortune 500 company, …

What's included in the trial?
Every trial is a little different–here's what David says about their trial:
In the trial, we will get clear on where you are, where you want to go, and what is getting in the way. I will ask a few focused questions, offer initial coaching on a real challenge, and propose how we could work together. You should leave with at least one practical next step, even if you decide not to continue.
