Having a good resume on hand when going on the job hunt is crucial, and will make your search a lot easier. Even if you're not looking for a new position right now, having an up-to-date CV that sells your experience to future potential employers …
Some big interviews coming up? In this 1-hour session, a mentor with hiring experience will act as a technical interviewer and ask you some standard hiring questions that you might hear in one of your future interview too, and will evaluate your replies. As a …
Hi and thanks for stopping by!
QA can be an amazing career.
Mine took me from Junior QA, to consulting, to building teams. I worked with companies like Google, Vodafone, BBC, Duolingo, in areas like media, fintech, IoT, for 10 years.
I focus on upskilling those who want to establish themselves in Test Automation, whether they have manual, technical, or no related skills. I love seeing people of all backgrounds & identities find their mojo in the competitive world of tech.
Now I'm running my own company and miss training up & coming QAs from around the world so here I am on Mentorcruise.
Some topics we can go through:
* Job hunting: Writing a strong CV & cover letter. Communication before, during, and after the interview. Common interview pitfalls to avoid.
Bonus: What the hiring manager won't tell you before you join.
* Leadership. Coordinating with those around you, taking the lead where needed, getting more responsibilities. We'll set you up for your next promotion and the one after that.
* Programming Basics. QA Automation combines technologies which are taught in a confusing manner.
Ever wondered why we need JUnit in UI tests? Why Android tests are so much more complicated? What actually happens during an API test? And what kind of sorcery goes into setting up CI?
We'll go through them one by one, then see how they integrate together. Soon you'll feel confident to join developer discussions instead of feeling like an impostor on the sidelines. This part will make the next steps much easier!
* Engineering principles. You got that first test running but need to get to the 100th one (without losing your sleep).
You'll need to apply Clean Code principles.
We'll cover topics like Design Patterns, SOLID, TDD, and BDD in depth. We'll also go deeper in the testing frameworks you're interested in.
Apply now on the right-hand panel for a no-commitment introduction, and take the first step towards your professional growth!

Brilliant session! Real value for money as my CV improved massively Dimitris is exactly what you are looking for: he's thorough and provides specific, actionable feedback. He is excellent in turning boring work experience to professional, worth mentioning talking points. We cut the noise, improved style (fitted everything in one page) and fixed language / grammar. The format was quite difficult (built with Latex) but that was not an issue at all My CV now looks so much more professional, I feel I have learned so much from just this session and I cannot wait to share my CV to the world! Thank you Dimitris!!!
