Hi 👋 I'm Eric, a Staff UX Designer at Workiva with 10+ years building products in B2B software.
Currently I design AI tools for financial experts. Before that I led design at Chase on their first video meeting platform and redesigned their investing tools, for millions of users. At Thrive Global I built executive level dashboards on employee well-being.
I help mentees with:
1. AI in workflows. How to think about AI as augmentation, not replacement. When it helps, when it's noise. How to test if your idea works with real users.
2. Getting hired. Portfolio reviews. Interview prep—whiteboarding, stakeholder questions. How to position early work. How to talk about your work so people understand it.
3. Expert users. Designing for people who know their domain. How to handle that scrutiny. What you're actually solving for vs. what feels nice.
4. Shipping under pressure. Stakeholder presentations. Getting buy-in when stakes are real. How to present design when people's money or time is on the line.
5. Design fundamentals. Wireframing, research, design systems, accessibility. The stuff that actually sticks.
Currently learning to design AI products better and thinking about what's next. Always happy to talk about career moves, side projects, or solving design and career problems.
