I've built deep learning models that diagnose rare diseases in children at a famous pediatric hospital in Rome. I secured funding through Berkeley SkyDeck, which has a 1% acceptance rate. I also authored a patent at NEC Labs, among many other things.

But I wasn't the brilliant student who had it all. I had my struggles and setbacks, and I spent years getting in my own way, and this is when I learned that most barriers are internal.
