Kostas Vaggelakos

Kostas is a great mentor. He helped me bridge the gap between being a Senior Data Scientist with no real world deployment experience to becoming a full time Machine Learning Engineer in Speech and Language Domain at work, the field I really wanted to work in. Before meeting him, I was solving problems on Leetcode and taking different courses online to learn about ML Engineering, however, those courses made seem packaging and deploying machine learning models a very tedious task and also lacked depth as nothing related to scaling or automating was every touched upon. Plus the problems discussed in these courses were very basic. After I met Kostas, I not only worked on a seemingly complex real world problem, but also learned how to actually package models and deploy them at scale to handle high volume of inference requests. The same learning reflected in my interviews and heavily complemented my leetcode problem skills and I was able to make the jump to my desired role. I cannot thank him enough for that :)
