Hey! I'm Matt. I've worked in digital marketing (SEO, SEM, content, analytics, & CRO) for my entire 15+ year career. I started as a web/SEO intern in 2009 and by 2019 I was leading an 8 person global SEO team responsible for 14 products. I left that job to start my own consulting business and have started 2 other companies since (an ecom business and SaaS company). Tactically, I can offer insights on broad marketing, SEO strategies and implementation, analytics, content strategy, how to scale efforts, paid search, and conversion optimization. More broadly, I can offer guidance on how to present information to leadership, how to gain buy-in on projects, project prioritization, work/life balance, career navigation, team building, and leadership. I believe in transparent experiences and honest interactions. I loved mentoring junior team members when I worked in-house and find it a mutually beneficial experience.

When I started my mentorship, about 4 months ago, my main goal was to learn SEO faster as I felt overwhelmed performing everyday tasks at work, so I looked for someone to help me with some of my difficulties. Matt has been helping me by giving me tasks in different areas of SEO so I can better understand its implementation in performing keyword research, finding content opportunities, understanding the competitive landscape, technical SEO, and more. Matt is a great mentor, he has impeccable communication skills which makes it so easy to understand any concept he explains to you. He is very knowledgeable in SEO and will find a way to help you no matter your challenge, whether it is advice, questions on the subject, or providing feedback. To make things even better, he is a very patient person, and willing to explain and provide examples as many times as it is necessary to fully understand the subject. Thanks to him, I am starting to feel more confident in my day-to-day, and even though I have a long way to go, I know Matt will continue to be a great asset in becoming a great professional in the SEO industry.
