Hi, I’m Paulo. I’ve spent more than 20 years working in technology, starting as a software engineer and eventually becoming a VP of Engineering, CTO and CPTO. Along the way, I discovered that the part of leadership I care most about is helping other people become better at it.

I work primarily with engineering and product leaders who are navigating complexity: stepping into a bigger role, inheriting a struggling team, dealing with difficult relationships, trying to influence an organization, or simply feeling stuck and wanting an experienced outside perspective in their corner.

My approach combines coaching with the experience of having actually done these jobs. I won’t hand you generic leadership playbooks or pretend there’s one right answer. Instead, I’ll help you slow things down, understand what’s really happening, challenge your assumptions, and find practical ways forward that fit you and your situation.

I’m particularly interested in systems thinking, organizational psychology, team dynamics and how people make decisions under uncertainty. Those perspectives tend to show up naturally in our conversations.

Most importantly, I want our sessions to be a place where you can think out loud without having to perform. Leadership can be surprisingly lonely, and sometimes the most useful thing you can have is someone experienced, independent and firmly in your corner to help you make sense of the mess.
