Many small and mid-sized healthcare companies have already paid for AI. A clinic group buys an AI scribe, a health tech startup adds a chatbot, a smaller health plan pilots automation in its back office, and yet nobody can say what it has changed for patients, members or costs. I help founders and leaders of these companies answer that question and turn the answer into a roadmap: which AI work to start with, what it should deliver, who owns it, and how you will know it is working before more money goes in. Today I run SANJEEVANI AI, where I build AI products for healthcare, after ten years working on AI and data in healthcare, insurance, finance and life sciences.
When I started my master’s at Indiana University, I thought Python was a snake and R was a letter of the alphabet. I went on to publish cancer and Alzheimer’s research, carried it into Washington University in St. Louis, published a first-author abstract in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, and have completed nine peer reviews for PLOS ONE and Frontiers journals. I have trained more than 150 people on AI through my O’Reilly Media live trainings.
I mentor two kinds of people. Founders and executives of small and mid-sized healthcare companies, most without a technical background, come to me to decide where AI should earn its place in their business, build the roadmap to get there, and tell whether the money they are spending is coming back. And anyone who started late, changed careers, or was told they are “not technical” comes to build the GitHub profile and the inner confidence that show they belong, because I have been every one of those people.
I do not mentor by handing you a framework; I mentor by working on your actual problem with you. I learned that in seventeen years of teaching in India, where at Delhi Public School I introduced project-based learning to a mixed-ability classroom and those students went on to score above 90 percent. With a founder, that might mean taking one AI tool your team already pays for and working out together what it has changed for your patients or members, then turning that into a roadmap your team can follow. With a career changer, it might mean choosing two projects that show your judgment and shaping your repositories so a hiring manager understands them in a minute. We agree on one concrete thing you will finish in three months, and I review your real work, whether that is a roadmap, code, a memo or a deck.
If any of this sounds like where you are, send me a message telling me what you are trying to build or change and where you are stuck. We will start from there.

Hi ${MENTEE_NAME}, welcome, and thank you for choosing to work with me.
Before our first call, please send me three things here in the chat. First, tell me what you are trying to build or change, whether that is an AI decision in your business, a bioinformatics analysis, your GitHub portfolio or a new career direction. Second, tell me where you are stuck right now. Third, tell me what would make the next three months a success for you.
If you have work in progress, such as
