I’m a Director of Data Science and AI Engineering with a background in building and leading production AI systems, mentoring senior data scientists, and guiding teams through high-stakes technical and career decisions.

Over the past several years, I’ve worked as a Principal and Director-level leader, owning complex machine learning systems end-to-end, scaling teams, and navigating the transition from senior IC to people and organizational leadership. I’ve led data scientists, partnered closely with product and engineering, and spent a lot of time helping strong individual contributors expand scope, influence, and judgment as they move toward Staff, Principal, or leadership roles.

My mentoring style is practical and decision-focused. I’m most helpful when you’re facing real ambiguity: promotion bottlenecks, scope expansion, leadership without formal authority, system design tradeoffs, or figuring out when not to build or deploy AI. I focus less on resumes and interview tricks and more on pattern recognition, judgment, and long-term career leverage.

I also teach and mentor outside of industry, which has sharpened my ability to explain complex ideas clearly and meet people where they are—without oversimplifying. I enjoy working with experienced practitioners who want honest feedback, clear thinking, and a thought partner for important decisions.
