I'm Venky. I lead speech AI at Amazon where I built Nova Sonic, Amazon's voice AI that outperformed GPT-4o and Gemini 2.0 on public benchmarks. Before that I built speech systems for Alexa serving 100 million people daily.
I've been in AI for 18 years across Amazon, Intuit, and several other companies. I have 20+ published papers including a 2026 publication in Scientific Data, a Nature Portfolio journal, and have conducted 100+ interviews at Amazon.
