Alireza Fathi is a research scientist at Google Research's Machine Perception team since 2016. Throughout his tenure, he has actively engaged in diverse research domains, including large-scale vision language models, generative models, neural rendering, 3D scene understanding, and object detection, thereby making significant contributions to various Google products such as maps, Waymo, Cloud, Lens, and everyday robots. Prior to joining Google, Alireza dedicated two years of his career to Apple, where he contributed to the advancement of 3D computer vision. Preceding his time at Apple, he pursued a Postdoctoral Fellowship in FeiFei Li's laboratory at Stanford University. Alireza holds a Ph.D. degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a B.Sc. degree from Sharif University of Technology.
