Hey there,
My name is Cory and I've been in the tech industry for about 14 years now. I've had a variety of different roles over my career - from helpdesk, to network engineer, to technical account manager, to software development manager, to technical program manager - and the one thing I've consistently enjoyed doing is getting to help other people succeed, learn, and grow!
I'd love to connect with folks who are either early or in the middle of their careers in tech and are curious what they could do to level up quickly. I've picked up some tips and tricks along the way that I wish I would have known (or appreciated) sooner that I think might help some people out.
A few highlights about me:
- Went from entry level tech support to engineer to people manager
- I've received a handful of certifications to help me along the way - CCNP, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, etc.
- I've worked for small companies (5 employees) to large enterprises (~2.5 years at AWS, 3+ years at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)
- I've interviewed well over 100 people for a variety of different roles - from analysts, to software developers, to TPMs
- I highly value relationship building, transparent and honest communication, defining goals and plans to meet them, and driving a culture of trust anywhere that I go
