Hi, I'm Courtney. I've spent 15+ years building security and intelligence programs from the ground up — starting at the FBI, then leading insider threat and security engineering teams in fintech, most recently as a Security Engineering Manager (M7) at Coinbase, where I founded and scaled a global program from just me into specialized engineering and investigations teams.
What I care about most is helping people grow into their own version of leadership — especially women navigating tech and security, where the path isn't always obvious and the rooms aren't always built for us. I've been the only woman at the table, made a mid-career pivot more than once, and figured out how to translate a non-traditional background into senior roles. I'd love to help you do the same.
I mentor in three main areas:
Women in tech & security leadership — growing into management, leading teams, navigating visibility and being heard, building executive presence, and handling the specific dynamics women face in male-dominated fields.
Career transitions — moving into security or tech from an adjacent field, repositioning your experience, and figuring out how to tell your story so the right people see your value. (I'm doing a version of this myself right now, so it's fresh, not theoretical.) This also includes landing your first role.
Breaking into and growing in cybersecurity — insider threat, investigations, fraud, GRC, and security program-building, including how to build credibility and a path forward when you're early in the field.
