I have mentored many UX Designers and Researchers over the years, from students just starting out, to Principals and Directors who are wondering how to get to the next level in their careers. Mentoring is one of my favorite things to do on this earth and I am looking forward to getting to know you and helping you get to the next level(s) in your career.
It's tough out there right now in terms of UX careers and I very frequently get questions about how to land a new job, what to put in portfolios, resumes, and how to approach UX interview loops. I would love to help you nail these things and progress in your UX career.
A bit about my background. I am a multi-disciplinary global UX leader with a track record of building diverse and high performing teams and delivering successful software and hardware products at scale at large, intermediate and small companies in a variety of industries. I led UX at Axon, Qualtrics, Microsoft, Socrata, Moz, F5 Networks and Sumtotal Systems. I am a UX/Product Designer by heart with a passion for starting and building UX/Product Design, UX Research and User Assistance teams and disciplines. I have 25 years of experience delivering successful complex consumer and enterprise web, mobile, and desktop apps, brands, and hardware devices. 17 years of starting, growing and leading diverse, multi-disciplinary UX teams and defining and executing on corporate product vision and strategy. And 5 years experience serving on an executive team.
I am also an Adjunct Professor at Northeastern University teaching UX, and mentor for students at the HCDE program at the University of Washington.
