About
Data scientist experienced (5+ years) in the prototyping and development of data processing and machine/deep learning algorithms with a focus on remote sensing data. Passionate about use of remote sensing data to gain a better understanding of the environment and to improve the management of natural resources and human activities.
During my career I have been teaching assistant in multiple university courses and I supervised several bachelor and master projects (including thesis) guiding students in their paths of data analysis algorithm development and also young PhD students in their first steps in the research world. In other words, I'm really passionate in mentoring and guiding others as I see it as an enriching experience for both parts.
I can offer mentorship regarding, machine and deep learning, MATLAB and Python programming, geospatial data processing. I can also provide help regarding the academia career, the research world and the transition from academia to the industry.
