Donavan Cheah

Hi! I am Donavan, a senior cybersecurity consultant. Despite graduating from the National University of Singapore with a degree in Physics, I have managed to successfully become an ethical hacker (also known as a penetration tester), a cybersecurity risk consultant and cyber educator.

Besides doing typical cybersecurity work, I have led the creation of a cybersecurity card game in my current workplace that incorporates cybersecurity principles and lessons in a fun and engaging way.

I owe my journey into cybersecurity from my very first employer that took a chance with me and accepted my Physics background, having no prior knowledge in cybersecurity. But as cybersecurity becomes more prominent in the media today, so has the competition been to enter the field. I am happy to extend my privilege by providing mentorship opportunities so that those who seek a career in cybersecurity can too, understand how to prepare themselves for such an exciting career path.
