Most recently she was on the consumer communications team at Yahoo, supporting News, Search and Mail. For three years she was Head of Global Communications & PR at BetterUp, the inventor of virtual coaching for the enterprise. As the company’s first communications hire, she built a team that led earned media strategy, corporate communications, employer brand, and founder/executive thought leadership. Prior to her role at BetterUp, she led the global communications team at Headspace where she worked closely with the company's founders and oversaw consumer PR, corporate and B2B communications, influencer marketing and thought-leadership.

With nearly two decades of agency and in-house experience she has managed and mentored teams at boutique and global agencies, world-renowned brands, and fast-scale start-ups. Estela has worked on B2B, multicultural and general market campaigns supporting brands like Microsoft Xbox, MasterCard, Procter & Gamble, Levi Strauss, Starbucks, SUBWAY, and Wild Turkey Bourbon. With tenures at midsize and global agencies such as Edelman, Ketchum and IMG / WME, she’s been involved in various award-winning media initiatives, strategic plan development, social media campaigns and grand scale event executions.
