I'm an engineering leader with 20+ years of industry experience, leading individuals and managers, while staying hands-on as much as possible.

Has led individual teams of 12+ engineers as well as a function of 4 agile teams within one department, using agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
I believe in servant leadership – I ensure teams autonomy exists while also being ready to change leadership style based on the situation. I strongly believe in the feedback culture and foster autonomy with every team I work. Worked alongside with PMs and SLT, helped define roadmaps and objectives for the function and individual teams with engineering and product priorities in mind.

Managed performance of direct and indirect reports. Mentored and coached people on regular 1-to-1s, ensuring everyone in the team has development plan and room to grow. Mitigated conflicts. Worked with underperformance (including PIP and terminations).

As a Staff Engineer in past I provided technical leadership within department. I have designed and developed a platform serving all internal marketing campaigns within Booking.com with a peak load of 40k rps, using cloud native approach (k8s, kafka, microservices).

As a mentor I truly believe that the change starts from the inside. First I help a mentee to find their true passion, transform it into concrete goals and together build a plan to achieve those. Throughout my career I've already helped more than 200 individuals to become better, both at work and as an external mentor/coach. I care for people and always listen to their needs to achieve results together.
