About

If you're reading this, you've reached a point where you need guidance.
Let me tell you if I'm that person.

I'm Giulia (pronounced: "Ju-Lia"). On paper, I'm a technical founder and a PhD in Data Science. I've built deep learning models that diagnose rare diseases in children at a famous pediatric hospital in Rome. I secured funding through Berkeley SkyDeck, which has a 1% acceptance rate. I also authored a patent at NEC Labs, among many other things.

But I wasn't the brilliant student who had it all. I had my struggles and setbacks, and I spent years getting in my own way, and this is when I learned that most barriers are internal. I'm not saying that YOU are the problem, though. I'm just saying that you probably need a hammer, not a knife, in this historical moment.

If you feel stuck, it's probably not because you lack technical skills, but because of how you present your work and the stories you tell yourself.

That's where I come in. I'm not here to teach you another framework or give you generic career advice. I'm not even here to motivate you or to teach you Mind-Jedi tricks that have no use in your real life. I'm here to help you see the invisible patterns holding you back and cut through years of wasted effort with unconventional, lateral thinking. I don't need this job; it's purely vocational, so I'll try to be as effective and as speedy as possible so you can move on quickly.

What I bring:

- Real hiring experience. As a founder, I've interviewed dozens of candidates. I know what makes someone unforgettable (hint: it's never technical).

- Startup founder. I've pitched to Silicon Valley investors and won funding in one of the world's most competitive programs. I can help you validate your business model and find your angle.

- PhD survival. I can tell you all the dirty secrets and unwritten rules that govern academia. And help you break them.

Just to be clear, I'm not feeding your problems to any LLMs. I believe anyone, including you, can have a Claude subscription, and if you are here on Mentorcruise, it's because you need a human to help you. I'm not breaking this trust.

Please do not start the trial unless you have booked an introductory call beforehand https://mentorcruise.com/sessions/introductory-call/book/3775/ so we can see if we're a good fit. I don't have time to waste, and neither do you.
