It's nice to meet you! My name is Kendra and I've been a product designer for 4 years. I absolutely love it ❤️
I had a lot of help from amazing mentors when I got started and I want to do the same for others.
I'm really passionate about teaching, I did it for 6 years! I'm excited for the opportunity to help others learn about UX/UI/Product design.
I have varied experience from working as the founding designer at a small start up (got some real fast moving scrappy skills doing that 😅) to working on a product team that was only a small part of a very big healthcare company, to now working as a senior designer in a big design department in fintech at an expense management software company.
Phew! What a ride it's been so far! I really want to share what I've learned along my journey and help new designers hone their skills, navigate the job search jungle, prep for interviews, get their first jobs and then help with the "oh crap I got hired what do I do now? 😱" scaries.
