About

I'm a UX/Product Designer with 12+ years of experience and a former UX/UI instructor and mentor. I've spent most of my career working hands-on with startups and product teams, helping turn complex products into interfaces that are easier to understand and use.

If you're looking for someone to simply tell you which Figma button to press, I'm probably not the right mentor. My focus is helping you become better at the decisions behind the interface.

I can help you with:

• Reviewing and improving real UX/UI work you're currently designing
• Portfolio and case study feedback
• UX and product strategy
• Usability, user flows and information architecture
• UI critique and visual hierarchy
• Design systems and consistency
• Accessibility
• Working effectively with developers and product teams
• UX audits and identifying what's actually wrong with an interface
• Growing from execution-focused designer into a stronger product thinker

I've been running Pengreen Design since 2015, where I've worked with startups and established companies on complex digital products. I've also co-founded digital products myself, so I understand design from both sides: as a designer and as someone responsible for whether the product actually works as a business.

Teaching is something I've done professionally as well. I've worked as a UX/UI mentor and instructor for 3 years and taught designers how to approach product design, UI and emerging design workflows.

My mentoring style is practical and direct. Bring me a portfolio, a half-finished product, a difficult UX problem, a design you aren't confident about, or a career question. We'll look at it together, understand what's really happening, and leave with concrete next steps.

You don't need to be a beginner. I'm equally happy working with junior designers who want a stronger foundation and experienced designers who want another senior designer to challenge their thinking.
