Senior Software Engineer at GitHub Actions. I focus on platform engineering - building distributed systems and the infrastructure and networking tooling behind reliable, observable cloud-native workloads. I work primarily in Go across Kubernetes, containers, networking, and end-to-end observability. I'm interested in Rust and eBPF as a path to safer, higher-throughput platforms with kernel-level insight and control. I’m also exploring AI engineering and its applications in this space.
Beyond my core focus, I've worked in React/TypeScript frontends, data engineering and Google Cloud. Previously I consulted, delivered hands-on training, hosted podcasts, and organized meetups. I contribute to open source and share what I learn through blog posts and talks. I'm a Google Developer Expert (GDE) and a CNCF Ambassador.
For a deeper dive, see my blog. If you're new to open source, check out Verto.sh. For mentorship, I'm on Mentorcruise. Outside of work, activities like photography, motorcycling, playing a handpan and cleaning litterboxes keep me occupied 🐈.

I've been looking for a mentor who can guide me, help me achieve my career goals, and keep me accountable. For over a year, Luca has been mentoring me. He reviews my code, recommends books for me to read, and we discuss daily engineering topics as they arise. Recently, I started a new position at a different company, and I am very happy in my new role. I believe this mentorship has made me a better engineer.

I have been mentored for about 10 months now and it has been a great journey so far. Luca is very good at identifying and addressing the gaps in my knowledge and setting up a plan to improve as a whole. Next to that we go in depth career wise and talk about challenges/improvements at my current job. Our meetings are relaxed, clear and make me enthusiastic for the next steps into the projects we develop throughout the mentorship. These projects also allow me to learn new topics and add onto existing knowledge while getting clear and accurate feedback on PRs. Still very satisfied and excited for the future of the mentorship :)

My collaboration with Luca has been very helpful! He's a person who would answer your questions and give practical pieces of advice on where to find more info and how to use it the best. But don't forget that most of the work has to be done and determined by YOU, and Luca is there to help you, not to tell you what to do, so don't forget to read how to actually work with a mentor.
