About

I’m an Engineering Manager and former Backend Engineer with 12+ years of experience, helping engineers navigate both the technical and corporate sides of a tech career.

My path: a Bachelor’s in Software Engineering in Egypt → 8 years as an IC → 4 years as an EM at Booking.com in Amsterdam, scaling international teams and complex systems. I’m currently on a career break, which is giving me more time to mentor deeply.

Throughout my journey, I have scaled international teams, managed complex system architectures, and mentored engineers through promotions and career transitions.

I specialize in helping three distinct groups of professionals:
Senior Tech Professionals: Mastering system design, architecture, and the soft skills required to clear tech interviews.

New & Aspiring Engineering Managers: Navigating the difficult transition from writing code to managing people, running agile squads, and managing stakeholders.

International Engineers: Strategizing global relocations, navigating visa transitions, and breaking into competitive European tech hubs.

My mentoring strategy goes far beyond theory. Together, we will build concrete career roadmaps, conduct tailored mock interviews, and unblock your specific day-to-day workplace challenges.
