About

I’ve spent the last 25 years in UX.

Not just doing the design part - the messy human stuff that actually moves projects and products forward.

Across industries and company types - from 2-people startups to Fortune 500, like American Express and JPMorgan Chase (my current employer).

Shaped effective B2B and B2C e-commerce experiences for famous brands such as Starbucks, Intel, Tabasco; revamped the professional medical digital library for WebMD; modernized extranet experience for engineers at Otis, to name a few.

Built and led multidisciplinary design teams.

Along the way, I’ve also coached over 2,000 UXers. Through bootcamps. UX programs. Group and 1:1 sessions. Helping them find their unique voice in our ever-evolving field.

I’m still in the trenches every day, navigating the latest industry challenges and opportunities.

Truth is, I can't stop teaching what I've learned, helping people crack the code of their next career move.

Great UX work isn't enough anymore.

You need to influence. Lead. Build something that lasts.

What mentees say

5 out of 5 stars

Marina got right down to business for our session and her unvarnished truth and depth of knowledge really stood out. I have worked with several coaches and she is the first to really cut to the chase in a manner, while forthright, really got to the bones of what I needed to address in myself and my career moving forward. I look forward to applying my new found insights and knowledge and would not hesitate to work with her again.

This was just our first session and it felt like Marina already knew me and the challenges I’m facing. She got straight to the core of things with clarity and empathy. What stood out immediately was how experienced she is. She’s clearly been through similar situations herself and has coached others through them, so everything she shared was grounded in real-world examples. There was no fluff, no generic advice. She gave sharp insights and frameworks I could apply right away.

I’ve been feeling lost in my career for quite some time. I’ve read a lot of books and listened to a lot of podcasts. I just wasn’t getting the ‘giant leap’, or finding the breakthrough I needed. Thankfully, I came across Marina — I’m not quite sure through which platform. Whatever the case, I’m really glad I decided to invest an hour of her time. She put so much work in, to figure me out professionally and to see things about me that I could not see in myself. She asked incisive questions and made some compassionate but blunt recommendations, which she compiled and shared in a set of documents. I’m so grateful for her time and patience. I now feel that I have a sense of who I am professionally and, even better, who I could be. I have a plan of action and a new outlook on the future of my career. I wholeheartedly recommend her. Thank you, Marina.
