About

I'm a software engineer, team lead, consultant, coach with over 15 years of experience in all kinds of environments/teams (early startup, corporates, long-term employment, short freelance gigs...). I specialize in web frontends (React 8+ years coding and teaching, Vue, vanilla). I also worked full stack (backend: PHP, Java/Spring, Ruby/Rails, NodeJS, infrastructure: AWS, terraform...).

I have many years experience in coaching as a volunteer (https://www.opentechschool.org) and recently also as a professional mentor for beginners, juniors and seniors.

I love to help you grow technically (deep frontend specialization or becoming more full stack), in code quality and communication (code reviews, explaining and convincing others) or how to approach building complex products and agile methodologies.
I will be happy to pair with you coding, review your code and give you feedback, and share my way of working.

I speak English and German.

I worked with Martin for a few months, during which I received helpful advice that helped me change my thinking and mindset. In addition to reviewing my code and giving me helpful feedback. Martin is good at analysing one's situation and giving well-applicable advice, which was essential in my case. Also, under his mentorship, I was able to secure a job offer. If you are a front-end dev and looking to advance your skills, I totally recommend Martin.

Martin quickly grasped the company and software structure and was very helpful in providing the personal development that I needed. His sessions are engaging and insight, giving me the support with vital expert knowledge that he has. On top of that, he sets great thought experiments and homework tasks that is unique so it stays interesting but also helped me find out stuff about myself. He also goes out of his way to give me extra help - he genuinely wants to help and see you grow!
