I’m Nahid Farhady Ghalaty, a Principal Machine Learning Privacy & Security Software Engineer at Microsoft and an Adjunct Faculty member at UC Berkeley. I’ve spent over a decade working at Microsoft, Google, Capital One, and Accenture, focusing on AI privacy, cybersecurity, and responsible machine learning. With a Ph.D. from Virginia Tech and an invention in malware detection, I’ve led initiatives in Copilot privacy, threat modeling, and privacy-preserving AI.
I’m passionate about helping others navigate the intersection of AI, security, and privacy especially those who want to translate research into practical, real-world solutions.
