Phil Crumm

I started my career as a software engineer at WordPress VIP, a full-service host focused on enterprise content publishers.

Thereafter, I joined a 7 person startup in Los Angeles as a Lead Engineer. I helped our team re-architect and re-build our application – transitioning from PHP to node.js – in support of a pivot, and worked alongside our founders to talk to customers and partners to help us define our post-pivot featureset.

I then joined a full-service digital agency in a client strategy role. In the 7 years since, I've built and managed our sales team and now focus on our commercial go-to-market efforts – marketing, customer acquisition, and sales processes. I also support our Executive Team as the owner of much of our corporate data analysis and business strategy/process efforts. And, every now and then, I still get to build some cool technical tools to help us do the job.

Alongside my day job, I've successfully bought and sold a few small SaaS startups – and have learned a ton about creating value and honing products in short order.

I'd love to help engineers who are interested in growing into more business-oriented roles (while still taking advantage of their technical skills!) or folks who are in need of a generalist to help them hone their strategies and approaches.
