Hello There,
With nearly 20 years in UX and design research and a Psychology Masters and Professional Doctorate in HCI I bring both academic rigour and real-world commercial experience to my mentoring.
I've led global research at Intel, bp, Spotify, Vodafone, Schibsted and in health-tech and AI product development, working across consumer, enterprise, and regulated environments. I know what great research looks like at scale and what it takes to build a career in this field from the ground up.
I mentor and coach across five areas:
Breaking In : If you're new to UX research or transitioning from psychology, market research, or academia, I'll help you build your portfolio, nail your interviews, and get your foot in the door.
Levelling Up : If you're mid-career and want to grow your craft, your influence, and your visibility inside your organisation, we'll work on that together.
Moving into Leadership : If you're stepping into research management, managing managers, or trying to build and protect a research function, this is where I'm most in my element. The shift from doer to leader. Managing underperformance with confidence. Influencing upwards. These are the things nobody properly teaches you and I've lived all of them.
Research and AI :I work at the intersection of AI product development and human-centred research. I can help you in two distinct ways: how to use AI to optimise your research practice , synthesis, analysis, insight generation, reporting and how to conduct rigorous, ethical research for AI products themselves. Having worked on AI-driven health products, I bring live, practical experience to both.
Building World-Class UX Teams : I've recruited, structured, and scaled research and design teams across some of the world's leading organisations. If you're a founder, research leader, or Head of Product trying to hire your first researcher, structure a team for a specific project, or build a research function from scratch ,I can help you do it properly.
In our first session we'll get clear on where you are, where you want to be, and what's actually standing in your way. Then we build from there.
